Allulose

Matakana Superfoods Allulose is a naturally occurring sugar found in small quantities in various fruits. Allulose has a similar taste and appearance to regular sugar and is produced by a natural fermentation process. Unlike other fruit sugars, allulose is low in calories, containing approximately 1.67kj/g compared to 170kj/g for regular table sugar.

Allulose can be used in baking and as a tabletop sweetener (it's 70% as sweet as regular table sugar).

It can be used independently or in combination with other types of sugar.
